Older people have more to deal with than the young. They cannot go out and look for a job as they are well past their prime. Some of them can only sit on their porch and look on as the world passes them by. Frankly, you will find that they are used to their life. They worked hard and achieved something and therefore have no regrets about it. The only thing that they cannot live without is their grand children who happen to come with a lot of problems. These grandchildren do not have parents who are consistent in their lives. They have to depend on their grandparents to take that place and teach them how life is. Sometimes the grandparents have to do with pregnant grandchildren who don’t have anyone else to run to. They depend on welfare benefits and cannot for the life of them find a place where they are wanted. Their parents cannot take care of themselves let alone their children. Yet one thing you will find is that these grandparents take it all in stride. They may never complain about it even when they feel overwhelmed. Some of them are known to take time to visit with their children in the hopes of bringing the family together. They may be on sickness benefits, but they have such a jovial attitude that you would be forgiven to think that their grandchildren are the ones who need those benefits. Without them, many grandchildren have found nobody else who can sympathize with their plight. Joseph Kony 2012

By now, you’ve probably seen the video of  Kony 2012, it was made by a non-profit group and almost over night it turned Joseph Kony into a household name, not only in the United States but worldwide. The news went viral at a lightning speed but exactly who is Kony ?

Kony was born in Uganda and in 1987 became the leader of Lord’s Resistance Army. This rebel group has abducted approximately 66,000 children over the years, using the boys as soldiers for the group and raping the young girls. They have murdered tens of thousands of men and women.

So who is Kony to the authorities and why has he not been caught? Well since he was indicted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court in 2005 on 33 charges including murder, enslavement, rape, pillaging, he left Uganda for the bush and his whereabouts are unknown. He reappeared in 2008 but has since gone back into hiding.

The LRA still operates in Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan and Kony still needs to be caught and brought to justice. 

The video highlights the plight of one child soldier Jacob who has seen the atrocities first hand and other abductees who have escaped have told of their leadership by Kony who believed his war crimes were by instruction of the Holy Spirit and he was the channel to receive these orders from the spirits. This is why he needs to be caught.

So when someone asks who is Kony ? Everyone knows who he is, why he needs to be found and why it is imperative his name is kept in the news! Let’s keep the cause current so the issue or the man himself does not fall back into obscurity!

The Constitution: big issue in America

The US constitution and how it is being interpreted is one of many current issues in America. The principles on which this country was founded were completely different from any previous government in history. Based on the idea of freedom, the idea was to decentralize power and give the people the power to control their own destiny. All the powers not specified to the federal government were supposed to be left to the states. 

However it seems we’ve forgotten what the constitution was about and what made this country so great. We were best, culturally and economically, when we were free, when we followed the constitution. One of the biggest anti-constitutional moves of the federal government was the introduction of the Federal Reserve. Protestors of this public/private institution have made it one of the current issues in America, claiming that it is an unconstitutional institution that is destroying our economy.

Since the Federal Reserve was introduced our country’s economy has been in a steady decline, because it prints money to loan to the government and then the profits are private. It makes absolutely no sense when you really look into it, but most Americans wont. We’ve seen inflation and hyperinflation as a result of the Federal Reserve, and no where in the constitution does it say anything about a private central back controlling the printing of money. Actually the constitution says that only congress and coin money.

To go even further, none of the wars we are in are constitutional because the constitution says that only congress can declare war. None of these wars have been declared by congress. Nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care about the current issues in America. People only start waking up when they feel the effects in their wallet, and fortunately/unfortunately we’re beginning to see this happening on a large scale.
