Pouting will Never Solve a Problem Which Needs Doing

I saw a man sitting on a bench at the park across the road. He was a well dressed man but oddly very gloomy looking. I have been seeing him for three days now. I live across the street so I am familiar with the people passing by the park. Curiously, I decided to walk down the park this afternoon because I am sure that I will be seeing him again. Indeed I was right. I approached the man to have a little chat with him. It was then when he started blabbering about the reason why he had been sitting at the park for the past days. He said he was fired from his job and he had not told his wife of his unemployment. He added, “What do I do? do i qualify for unemployment if i was fired!”. I tried to console the man and I told him that he might as well see if he could qualify for unemployment benefits. I know it will be of help to him since he has a one year old son. If I was in his place I will try to look for ways to earn rather than just sitting around all day and pretending of going to work. I assured the man that his wife will be very understanding of his current situation. The following days, I did not see him anymore. Later on, I was surprised to see him at the grocery store arranging the stacks of canned goods. He said that when he told his wife they both tried to look for another job for him and soon enough he was accepted in the grocery store. He thanked me more than enough as I left the establishment. I guess my suggestion worked out for him after all.
