How to make ends meet with your hobby

December 5th, 2011 by admin

Jobs are hard to come by these days and when they come by they are not what you trained for and they do not pay as much. Sally did a diploma in Business management and since she could not find a job in her field of training, she decided to look for a job in one of her hobbies that is writting. She has been doing the job for two months now. Since she does not earn as much she wanted to find out if she was eligible for state benefits. She wanted to further her studies and do a degree in journalism. Maybe that would better her chances of getting a job. She decided to go to the state benefits office to see if she can apply for a scholarship. She needed to have her birth certificate, school leavers certificate and letters of reccomendation. She also needed to have applied to the college she wanted to go study and they should have accepted her application. With all this done the only thing left was for her to apply. She sent the application hoping for the best. She would be taking part time classes so she could continue to work. Her parents could not support her as they both were low income earners and were relying on state benefits for low income earners to support the rest of her siblings. Her motivation for studying journalism was her passion for writing. She also wanted to one day highlight various issues that different people face. She also wanted to be able to support her family and her siblings. She was lucky as she was awarded the grant and now she will become a journalist.
