WoW Farming for Gold and Experience

April 13th, 2010 by admin

WoW farming is a great way to earn gold quickly. If done incorrectly, it is also a good way to burn out on the game. In order to enjoy your play time while also accumulating wealth, make sure you know the best approach to WoW farming. You can have the best of both worlds: a large in-game bank account and enough free play time to do things other than sit and kill for hours on end.

Pace your WoW Farming

A quick way to burn out on WoW farming is to do nothing else. There are a handful of players out there who enjoy WoW farming and can do it for days without losing interest. For everyone else, there is a need to pace yourself or risk frustration and boredom with the game.  The best way to avoid doing this is to plan your WoW farming sessions. Schedule them so you do not neglect to farm, but make sure you are only schedule as much time as you can handle. Even an hour here and there is enough.

Have an Alternative Entertainment Source

Instead of planning to do nothing else while WoW farming, have an alternative entertainment source ready. This should be something you can safely do while you farm that won’t bring about your character’s untimely death. Things like watching a movie or listening to music are great, unintrusive options. Also consider having a friend or two to chat with. Even if you prefer to solo your WoW farming time, you can still converse over voice chat or in game. Good company will make the time fly by!

Know the Best Camps for WoW Farming

Before you begin WoW farming, know where you plan to go. It is extremely important to choose a location that offers good experience and gold or item drops. You should strive to use your WoW farming time as efficiently as possible, and that means getting the most return out of every single kill. You will quickly lose interest if you are not seeing any financial or level improvements from your WoW farming.

Have Multiple Locations Planned

Have two or three ideal WoW farming locations in mind when you begin. This is important because you might go to one camp and find it full of other players farming as well. Rather than grow frustrated waiting for respawns and working around other players, you can move on to the next camp without missing a beat.

On the other hand, you can also move from camp to camp should you grow tired and need a change of scenery. You will be amazed what a quick camp switch can do for your attention span. WoW farming should not be a grueling and painful experience. If you can pace yourself and set aside specific time for WoW farming, you can still enjoy other aspects of the game. Remember to have some sort of entertainment planned while you farm as well as back up locations in mind.
